What inspired them to work in education?
Fullmind provides a space for teachers like myself, who are no longer in the classroom, but are still eager to face the challenges of our field one student at the time. In this new virtual setting, students drive instruction since I get to research and tailor lessons to serve my students as individuals.

Adolescent Education
When I was in college I was thrilled to envision a future classroom equipped to develop all different types of students. I thought about future discussions that would bring people closer together, dynamic projects that would get students to broaden their knowledge, and the many moments of self-discovery stemming from novel studies. I continue to pursue this profession after 17 years to help students grow into strong and competent individuals.

From a young age, I experienced firsthand how a great teacher can change the course of a student’s life. One of my own teachers took the time to see my potential when I didn’t see it in myself, encouraging me to aim higher and believe I could succeed. That experience stayed with me, and it inspired me to pursue a career in education. I wanted to create that same sense of possibility for others—to help students discover their strengths, build confidence, and open doors to opportunities they may not have imagined. Education, to me, is more than teaching facts; it’s about shaping futures, and that is what continues to inspire me every day.

What inspired you to work in education or join the edtech field?
Improving education is one of the clearest ways to make a positive impact on society. I'm excited to apply my talents towards creating a better world for the next generation.
What’s one challenge in education you’re passionate about solving?
I care deeply about teachers and the vital role they play in shaping lives and communities. Teaching demands passion, skill, education, and certification—yet despite all of this, teachers too often remain undercompensated and undervalued. I am committed to changing that narrative and ensuring teachers receive the respect and support they deserve.
As a rural Iowa native, I'm motivated to increase access to academic opportuntities for far-flung learners. All students deserve qualified educators in all kinds of subjects, reguardless of where they live.

One of the best ways to see who you are is to look at the people around you. The dedication, heart, and effectiveness of the people around me, makes me proud to be a part of this team. The personal connection of working with people with such overlap adds a lot of meaning as well.
